TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PLEASE
READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING
The property known as ‘Orniac Holiday Gite‘, is
offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation
by the Owners to the renter ‘Client’. Prices per
week are inclusive of linen, towels, electricity,
gas and water. Guests are requested to supply their
own towels for the pool.
Booking
To reserve the ‘property’ the Client should confirm
by filling in the Booking Form and returning it
together with non-returnable deposit of 25% of the
total due. [see Deposit and Payment terms on booking
form].
The maximum number to reside in each building must
not exceed the agreed number; any
alteration/additions must be agreed prior to your
holiday.
The booking will be held for 1 week until receipt of
deposit, which can be paid by electronic bank to
bank transfer. The Client is then sent
written confirmation of receipt. This is the formal
acceptance of the booking. The balance will be due 8
weeks before arrival.
If the payment is not received by the due date, the
Owners reserve the right to re-let the
accommodation. Any reservations made within 8 weeks
of arrival must be paid in full at time of booking.
The Client is advised to arrange a comprehensive
travel insurance policy including cancellation
cover, and to have full cover for the party’s
belongings, public liability etc since these are not
covered by the Owner’s
Insurance.
Arrival/Departure
The rental period commences at 5pm on the day of
arrival and ends at 10am on the day of departure, so
please plan accordingly. If late arrival is expected
then please advise.
Cleaning
Please leave the Gite as you found it, i.e. clean
and tidy. Any extra cleaning charges will be
deducted from the Security Deposit. [see below]
Security Deposit
A Security Deposit of £ 250.00 should be sent with
the final payment. This will be returned within 14
days of departure less any costs incurred for
cleaning or breakages, etc if necessary.
Cancellation
In the event of cancellation, which must be given in
writing, the client will be reimbursed as follows:
- the 25% initial deposit is non-returnable.
- if we are able to re-let the property, the client
will be reimbursed the balance
minus any costs incurred by the Owners.
Liability
We, the Owners, shall not be liable to the Client
for any injuries incurred on the property. The
Client is fully responsible for any damage or losses
to property or contents.
Smoking
The property is strictly non-smoking.
Pool Safety Rules
The Client agrees to adhere to the Pool Safety
Rules, available on arrival or on request. Failure
to comply will result in exclusion from the pool.
Children and non-swimmers using the pool must be
supervised at all times.
The Client agrees to take good care of the property
and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the
end of the rental period. Although a final clean is
included in our prices, the Owners reserve the right
to make a retention from the security deposit to
cover additional cleaning costs if the Client leaves
the property in an unacceptable condition. The
Client also agrees not to act in any way that would
cause disturbances to other residents and those in
neighbouring properties.
The Client shall report to the Owners without delay
any defects in the property or breakdown in the
equipment, or appliances in the property, to enable
repairs to be effected at the earliest possible
time.
The Owners shall not be liable to the Client for:-
a] Any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of
public services to the property; nor in respect to
any equipment or appliances failure.
b] Any loss/damage or inconvenience caused to or
suffered by the Client if the property shall be
destroyed or substantially damaged before the start
of the rental period and in any such event, the
Owners shall , within 7 days of notification to the
Client, refund to the Client all sums previously
paid in respect of the rental period.
c] Any loss/damage/injury which is the result of
adverse weather conditions, Act of God, riot, war,
fire, flood, industrial disputes, port/airport
closures, epidemics, government action or matters
beyond their control which prevents fulfilment of
the contracts by the Owners. [Force Majeure]
d] Any accident or injury however sustained on the
premises or gardens or pool area by the Client or
member of their party or guests.
If the Client fails to notify the Owners of any
problem or dissatisfaction prior to departure from
the property, it will be deemed that the Client is
satisfied and, therefore, has no cause for redress.
Under no circumstances shall the Owners’ liability
to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owners
as rental. Any dispute where parties cannot come to
an agreement will be dealt with in the Courts of
France only.
I have read, understood and accept these conditions
as part of my booking.
